Linkin Park

Band Bio  3 high school friends, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon started playing together, naming their band Xero. After leaving school, they recruited Mark Wakefield as a vocalist, and put together a number of demo tracks in Mike's bedroom. But despite knocking on lots of doors, they found it hard to find anyone interested in their material.

Wakefield left to pursue other projects, and Chester Bennington replaced him. The new recruit introduced new energy and creativity. The band's name was changed to Hybrid Theory, and then again to Linkin Park. Finally, Warner Bros took an interest, signing them in 1999. The band's debut album Hybrid Theory was released the following year.

Hybrid Theory was a smash hit, and it became the best selling album of 2001. The band went on the road, calling their tour 'Projekt Revolution'.

Their next album Meteora was released in 2003 to instant worldwide acclaim. It charted at #1 in both the US and UK. Favorite singles from the album include Numb and Faint.

In 2006, Linkin Park released their 3rd album, Minutes to Midnight, which was to became an almost permanent feature in the charts. The band continue to tour throughout the US and across the world, wowing their huge fan base.
