Band Bio
Brandon Flowers was originally in a band called Blush Response, but when the other members decided to move to LA, Brandon refused, staying instead in Las Vegas. Looking to join another group, he responded to an ad in the paper placed by Dave Keuning. The two became instant friends, and started looking for a bass player and drummer to fill out the band. The first pair they recruited didn't last long, but next along came Stoermer and Vannucci, completing the famous line-up.
After a period of composing and rehearsing new material, the band secured bookings to play a number of Las Vegas clubs. At one of these gigs a talent spotter from the UK noticed the band - he passed the demo tape onto a friend, and as result the band got a contract with London based indie label Lizard King.
Their first album Hot Fuss was release in 2004, and achieved meteoric success. Hit single off the album included All These Things That I've Done, Mr Brightside, and Somebody Told Me.
Next came the album Sam's Town. Though not quite as popular as the first album (what could be?), it featured the 2 memorable singles When You Were Young, and Bones.
The band has also released a compilation album Sawdust, which offers a mishmash of covers, and collaborations.
