Description  A beautiful beach, with gorgeous turquoise seas, and fine white sand.

The bay is absolutely brilliant for kite surfing, windsurfing and kayaking. If you haven't tried kite surfing before, sign up for a beginner's course. The reliable, but not normaly too strong trade winds, and warm temperature make the beach an ideal spot to learn - but put on plenty of sunscreen. Another great idea is taking a guided kayaking tour of nearby Lanikai beach, and then across to the Mokulua Islands. These 2 islands, a protected bird sanctuary, have their own beautiful beaches - a great spot for a break from all that strenous paddling!

You can get anything you want here, beautiful sandy beachs no coral to cut your feet to shreds over a mile of sandy beach so it's never crowded. Just a perfect place to spend a day. http://hawaiibeachblog.com

My personal favorite beach in the entire US. It's a protected bay on the East coast of Oahu. The surf is low usualy in the 1 - 3 ft range so it's not a surfers beach. The trade winds blow across the bay making for execllent wind surfing or sail boarding or parasailing you name it this beach is where it's at. There is a rental truck that operates in the parking area so you can rent kayaks, boogie boards wind surfers or what ever you need to have a great day in the sun on Oahu.

Kailua is absolutely a picture perfect beach.
