Jake Gyllenhaal

Bio  Jake had the perfect movie start's start to life - his dad was a film director, and his mom a producer. They might just have helped him land his first film role at the tender age of 11 playing Billy Crystal's son in City Slickers(1991).

But his parents gave something else to Jake. Along with the good connections came a great enthusiasm for film. At school Jake was drama-mad, acting in all the school plays.

Next Jake attended Columbia University, but he dropped out after just a year to pursue acting professionally. Success came soon after when Jake was cast for the title role in the critically acclaimed and very successful Donnie Darko(2001).

Jake's career has been on the up-and-up ever since, with great performances in The Good Girl(2002), Jarhead(2005), and Brokeback Mountain(2005).
