Bio Jude was set on a career as an actor from a very early age, and he joined the National Youth Music Theatre as a youngster. 5 years later, the experiences gained paid off as he landed a part in the TV soap 'Families'. He spent the next few years in the theatre, including a tour of Italy with a small company. At 22, he got a lead part in 'Shopping' - a film about ram-raiding. His breakthrough performance came in 'The Talented Mr Ripley', playing opposite Matt Damon. SInce then, Jude has gone on to play many memorable roles, including the love-fated Inman in Cold Mountain, the feckless Alfie in Alfie, and the charmer Graham in the rom-com The Holiday. |

Why in 100 Best? Jude Law is an amazingly versatile actor, playing completely different characters, and is completely believable in a wide variety of roles. Chris Rock obviously couldn't see this when he made his famous jibe at the Oscars. Talented and hot! |
