Marat SafinBio Marat began playing tennis at the age of 6 at a small tennis club in Moscow, where his father was the manager. The youngster was very talented, and his mother coached him through his teenage years. At 17 he turned pro, joining the ATP tennis tour. So far Marat has won 2 grand slam titles, the 2000 US open and the 2005 Australian open. |
