Michael Rosenbaum

Bio  Michael was born in Long Island, but his family soon moved to Indiana, where Michael spent his early years. He began acting when as the result of a bet, he applied for and landed the leading role in a high school play. So began Michael's love for acting. After school Michael went to Western Kentucky University to study Theater and Communications, graduating with a BA.

The bright lights of New York's theater land called, and Michael moved to the city. Several off-Broadway plays and low-budget movies followed. His first mainstream appearance was in the very funny Conan O'Brien Show, a late night comedy sketch TV series. On the movies front, Michael got a tiny part in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997), a Clint Eastwood-directed thriller set in Savannah .

After several more bit-parts in less successful TV shows and movies, Michael hit gold when he was cast in the part of the master criminal Lex Luthor in the WB hit TV series Smallville. To play the role Michael had to shave his head over a thousand times to give Lex the smooth bald pate that helps define the scheming deviousness of the character.
