Scarlett Johansson

Even at the tender age of 3, Scarlett had her sights set on becoming an actress. As soon as possible, she enrolled for acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Her first professional part, at the age of just 8, was in a stage production of Sophistry, acting beside Ethan Hawke.

Several movie parts followed. Even in underperforming movies, such as The Horse Whisperer, Scarlett's acting talents shone through.

Next Scarlett had to make the difficult transition from child to adult star. In 2003, any lingering doubts about her capabilities were blown away with a great performance in Lost in Translation.

Since then Scarlett's career has gone from stength-to-strength. Notable parts include the lead role in The Pearl Earring, a beautiful film inspired by the great Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer.
