Plot
Forrest sits on a bench next to a bus stop. He is recounting his life story to the person sitting next to him. We slowly learn that Forrest, though mentally slow, has lived an amazing life full of coincidence and chance happenings. Forrest has met many famous people, and influenced the course of great events, but Forrest thinks mostly about four ordinary people - his mother, his childhood friend Jenny, and his two Vietnam comrades, Lieutenant Dan and Bubba.
