Gladiator
Plot Maximus, an experienced and skilfull Roman general, escapes a murder attempt instigated by the new Emperor Commodus. But he is captured by slavers, and sold on to a gladiator school. Maximus proves an awesome gladiator, and fights his way to the prime venue for the sport - the Colosseum. Here he shouts a challenge to the Emperor, calling him to account for past wrongs.
