Sparticus

Plot  Spartacus, a slave, is sold to a Gladiator trainer. He soon rallies the other gladiators, leading a revolt and escape. Spatacus and his men stay on the move, gathering supporters and forming a slave army. Meanwhile the Roman senators Gracchus and Crassius plan the brutal qwelling of the uprising.
Why in 100 Best?
An epic tale with gripping action scenes. The simple desire of the slaves for freedom is counterpointed by complicated political intrigue at the heart of the Roman establishment. Of course the best scene is when all the slaves stay loyal to the end by volunteering the words 'I'm Spartacus'.
