China Beach, San Francisco

A super little beach hidden under the cliffs of the Seacliff area of San Francisco. The beach's name goes back to the gold rush years when the beach was used as a camp by Chinese fishermen. There's a bit too much concrete at the back of the beach (forming large steps/ramp down from the top of the cliff), but this is more than made up for by wonderful views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Best in summer when the water is (just) about warm enough for swimming.
